Barbecue's, Beer, and Football!

We are now a full four weeks into the spring semester, and with the weather getting warmer, the student council decided it would be a good idea to give the students of  BES La Salle a little taster of what is to come later in the semester. A barbecue, beers, and a football tournament, all rolled into one on a sunny monday afternoon at La Salle. The perfect setting for the first major student event of the semester! photo 1 A total of six teams entered the football tournament, including a teachers team made up of La Salles very own Chris Kennett, Kerem Gurses (who produced a fantastic performance in between the posts), Paul Fox, Jose Espinoza, and prolific forward Brian McGarry, who's silky skills dazzled opposing defences. photo 5 Meanwhile, the student council delegates were cooking up a feast on the sidelines, with burgers, hot dogs, and kebabs all cooked by head chef Ivan Curti. With beers and sangria also on offer, it made the perfect meal after a hard fought five-a-side fixture. photo 1 And the good news is, that there is more of this still to come later in the semester. Students will be readily looking forward to La Salle festival week in mid may, with more students, more food, and more football on offer. photo 2 photo 2 photo 3 photo 3
