Junier Security

Hi everyone! In today's post we are going to explain our security system choice. We decided to go with Juniper SRX Series and Junos Space Security Director. The first Juniper product that we decided to use is the SRX3600 Gateway which is a next-generation security platform that delivers high performance, scalability and service integration. Its integrated security intelligence offers protection against web application threats, policy enforcement based on data coming from Juniper GeoIP that provides its own feeds as well as third party feeds for protection from new malware and advanced threats. The SRX3600 includes multi-gigabit firewall, IPS, antivirus, NAT, QoS, DoS and others, it can also provide network segmentation in order to tailor security and policies. To complement the SRX, Juniper has Junos Space Security Director which is an application that runs in the Junos Space platform that provides security policy control across the network as well as a high level of visibility into the network. The combination of these two technologies give the administrator the ability to centralize all the security configurations, define and enforce policies, scale security policies across possible multiple SRX, optimize the network infrastructure, detect new threats and provide detailed reporting with logging capabilities.   The implementation of this piece of Juniper technology combined with an efficient and constantly evolving security policy will build a secure environment capable of learning and adapting to any new threats and ensure the continuity of the service. The technology is very important when designing a security system but we cannot forget that the majority of security breaches and incidents are caused by human errors so it's also crucial to spread awareness between the employees and ensure that every part of our company knows the best practices and the way to behave when working with our systems.
