Program for the Barcelona Doctoral Consortium on Digital Innovation

The Doctoral Consortium has been designed with the intention to provide support and contribute to the further development of the doctoral students, we are grateful to the Society for Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS) that also believed in this opportunity and decided to sponsor the event. We look forward a very interesting event where we can exchange research ideas, get valuable feedback, and shape a shared future for digital innovation research.

  • Presentation sessions (Thursday): 20 minutes to present your work + 20 minutes constructive feedback & ideas for development discussion.
  • Research Projects Interactive Discussions (Friday morning): 5 minutes to pitch your research work, 5 minutes to highlight areas were you need help to improve, 10 minutes group discussion on the challenges. We will organized in different groups for this activity, will be assigned and distributed in the different rooms.
  • Q&A Sessions: prepare your questions to share with the group during these topic oriented open discussion sessions.

The entrance to the La Salle Residence Hall is located in the same building (Edifici Sant Miquel) as the Doctoral Consortium (shared reception space)

  • All bookings have been completed according to the participants’ instructions. If you arrive after 7pm, the security guard will give you room key.
  • There is a Cafeteria/Restaurant on ground floor of the “Edifici Sant Jaume”. If it is closed, in the upper floor of the cafeteria there are vending machines, with some drinks and basic food options.

  • Staying at the Campus La Salle Residence Hall is choosing comfort right next to central Barcelona. Imagine being able to have everything on your doorstep: your university, running in Collserola, shopping in the centre or the train to visit home. All of this is possible at the Campus La Salle Residence Hall.
  • How to get to the Campus La Salle Residence Hall?
  • By train (FGC). L7 Av. Tibidabo station. Line S1, S2, S5, S55 Sarrià station (check actual times on:www.fgc.es). The stations are 10 minutes walking from the accommodation.
  • By bus: the Barcelona bus network is very extensive. Several lines stop near the accommodation (14, 22, 58, 64, 73, 75, 85). To see which route works best for you, check the following website: tmb.es. It provides really useful information about the timetables, routes, prices etc., and how best to get around Barcelona.
