NITIM Winter School at La Salle Barcelona

The NITIM Winter School will be held in La Salle - Universitat Ramon Llull from November 9 to 11, 2015.

NITIM Schools facilitate the development of doctoral research in the interdisciplinary field of Networks, Information, Technology and Innovation Management, bringing together Ph.D. candidates and faculty members in a focused, indepth, and constructive discussion of the candidates’ research proposals.

This Winter School seeks to address the challenges of second and third year PhD candidates by having two thematic priorities that are relevant to the NITIM community. Research endeavors in the fields of Crisis and Disaster Management, Connected Health, Sustainable Engineering, and Business Innovation Systems & Logistics are all interlinked themes that contribute to key societal and technical challenges that will be pursued upon in future plans following the PhD process. This school offers practical insight into the strategies and expectations needed to ensure a swift and secure transition from academia to careers in private industry, including preparation for PhD thesis completion.
