How to use and find a job with the La Salle Borsa de Treball

Many students I have spoken to either do not know what is the Borsa de Treball or do not know how to use it.  It is surprisingly simple and will make your life much easier when looking for a job or internship.

First you need a username and password to log into the ecampus.  (http://ecampus.salle.url.edu) Once you have logged into the ecampus, click on ‘Serveis’ (Service) then ‘Sistema d’informació’ (System of information) and you will need to login with the same username and password, leaving the option below the password that shows ‘Enginyeria i Arquitectura’.

You will then see three options: Library, Job Opportunities, Shop Online, and Grades

You can check your grades by clicking on grades, as you would assume.

Once you click on Job Opportunities, the common problem people have is that the window is no longer maximized.  Maximize the window or make sure it is stretched to the full width of your computer screen.  Then you will see tabs on the right hand side of the window, if it is not maximized you will not see this.  The same applies when you are reviewing your grades.

Once you can see the tabs on the left, you can click on Training and edit all your education and work experience.  This is essentially your C.V.

Click on Job Preferences and on the sub-tab ‘List’.  Do this after you are satisfied with your details of education and work experience.  Here you will be able to chose all the details regarding the type of work you are interested in and when you are done, click ‘Refresh’ and you will see a list of available jobs.  When you select one you can simply apply to the job and wait to be contacted!

It is as easy as that.  There are a few glitches in the program, but once you know how to get around them, the job database is fairly easy to use.  Please let me know what your experiences or concerns are with the Borsa de Treball.
