The executive board of the International Association of La Salle Universities(IALUmet at Bethlehem University on 24 and 25 October.

Many topics were discussed at the meeting, including their wish to foster the exchange of staff, teachers and students between the various universities represented, something they considered a great opportunity for growth and both personal and professional development.

In attendance were:

Dr David Livingston, President of the Lewis University of Chicago; Dr Colleen Hanycz, President of La Salle University of Philadelphia; Br Andrés Govela, president of IALU in Mexico; Josep Santos, Director General of La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL and Regional Director of Europe and French-speaking Africa; Dr Joan Landeros, chair of the internationalisation committee in Mexico; Dr Carmelita Quebengco, Chancellor Emeritus of La Salle University in Manila; Br Gustavo Ramirez, Councillor for Higher Education of the Institute in Rome; Br Augustine Boquer, President and Chancellor of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas and De La Salle-Health and Sciences Institute, Philippines; Dr Carlos Coelho, Executive Director of UNILASALLE de la IALU in Rio de Janeiro; Dr Diana Loera, Associate Director of Mexico; Br Jack Curran, Vice President of Mission at Manhattan College, New York; Peter Stemp, Director of Solidarity, Rome; Rev. James Burns, President of the Ethiopian Catholic University, Addis Ababa; and Dr Brennan O'Donnell, President of Manhattan College, New York.

The various attendees all presented information from their respective fields and areas. In the case of the director general of our campus, spoke in particular of the three IALU commissions of the region he directs: international, mission and research.
