The fourth edition of La Salle Art & Animation Fest at La Salle-URL, held on June 22, 2021, once again demonstrated the talent of the students of the degree in Animation & VFX at La Salle-URL and the degree in Digital Arts, who were recognized for the work they have done during the course. The event distributed the prizes for the best projects of the academic year in different categories, had HP and Wacom as sponsors and featured a presentation by Arnau Ollé, a well-known animator.
The general director of La Salle-URL, Josep M. Santos, and Félix Balbas, director of the Animation & VFX degree, were in charge of welcoming and opening the event. As José M. Santos commented, the La Salle Art & Animation Fest is a sample of La Salle-URL's will to innovate, to always be at the forefront in teaching and the commitment to transversality and work among the different knowledge areas. "The results of the projects have been fantastic in previous editions, and this year the experts have assured me that it has been even better. Therefore, congratulations for the effort and dedication", commented the general director of La Salle URL .
Next, Arnau Ollé, Director of Character Animation at Luck a Skydance Animation Madrid, explained to the students the magic of the profession, giving them advice, encouraging them to dream of achieving their challenges and ensuring that teamwork and trust in colleagues is essential to be successful. In addition, he explained the process of creating some of the characters that he has animated, showing the different stages of creation and the improvements that he managed to make thanks to teamwork. Finally, the prizes were distributed to the students of 1st and 2nd grade in Digital Arts and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade in Animation & VFX.
