On Tuesday 24 April, La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL will organize the workshop "What noise do we do on the Campus?" In the framework of the Week Without Noise 2018. The activity will consist of measuring, with the help of sound level meters, the sound levels that exist at various points on the La Salle-URL campus, such as the dining room, library or laboratories. With the results, we will discuss whether the values obtained are adequate or not.
The workshop will begin at 4:00 pm on the basketball court, San Juan de La Salle 42, and will be developed by the different parts of the campus. The activity is free and open to all the students.
The Week Without Noise is held in Catalonia from April 23 to 29 and promotes initiatives in the context of the prevention of noise pollution, such as awareness and environmental education, with the aim of giving visibility to the management and control tools as well as encouraging collaboration between administrations with different responsibilities and/or competencies in the field, to optimize resources and to offer a faster and more efficient solution. The name of the Week Without Noise this year is 'Stop the noise!' And aims to value all those actions that improve the acoustic quality of our environment.
