In this context, some research tasks of the AMI and other work carried out at national and international level are presented. There will be a series of documentaries by Manuelle Roche on Le Corbusier and the Valley of M'Zab, declared World Heritage by UNESCO to the architecture and urbanism of the modern movement. Centuries of history and memory materialized in the heritage legacy.
The objective of the initiative is to make known the territory and architecture of a culturally heterogeneous country with patrimony of excellence. On the one hand, a roundtable will be held where the values and perspectives of the Algerian heritage will be presented by Xavier Casanovas, President of RehabiMed and Robert Terrades, Director of the School of Architecture of La Salle; Pedro Garcia, Head of Culture of the School of Architecture of La Salle, and Mounir Bouchenaki, former Director of Cultural Heritage and World Heritage of UNESCO and ICROM, which will give a panoramic view of this country.
On the other hand, Anna Martinez and Montserrat Villaverde, teachers of La Salle, will explain the influences of El Mzab in the work of Le Corbusier and, in addition, the architect Emili Donato will explain his professional experience with the projects of the socialist agricultural Villages.
Finally, the exhibition: AURES will be inaugurated. Heritage, Memory and Resistance, which will remain open until May 26.
