On 15 and 16 November, La Salle Campus Barcelona hosted the biennial meeting of the Board of the International Association of Lasallian Universities. Josep M. Santos, general director of the Campus, was appointed Regional Director of Europe and French-speaking Africa last July, thus entering onto the Board.
During the session on Thursday afternoon, they also joined the directors of European Lasallian universities working group, where they were able to present the strategic lines being pursued at their centres and share experiences. During this session, representatives from UOLS, ESAIP of Angers, UniLaSalle Beauvais, La Salle Campus Madrid, La Salle Mounier-Paris and ECAM of Lyon all took part.
The conference was led by the Executive Director of the IALU, Carlos Coelho, its president, Br. Andres Govela, accompanied by the Associate Director, Dr Diana Loera, her Vice President, Br. Dennis Magbanua, and all the members of the Board, the members at large, the Regional Directors and the heads of various departments, Research, Mission and Internationality, all took part.
The IALU, which has recently celebrated its twentieth anniversary, is currently composed of more than 60 institutions of the Lasallian network, and is born from the common vision of the La Salle international community, an interconnected and collaborative network, faithful to their mission and clear in their goals.
