Between 30 November and 1 December, Disseny Hub Barcelona will be hosting the international Arts and Visual Effects Fair, B'Ars. La Salle-URL will be taking part in the exhibition among the stands for companies looking for talent and universities that offer training in this field. La Salle-URL is also sponsoring the talk that will be held on Friday 30 November at 8 p.m., where Disney will offer an exclusive presentation of its first VR short, "Cycles". VR, virtual and augmented reality, will be the stars of the show this year with a special area reserved for screening such films.
B'Ars is a festival specialising in Visual Effects held in Barcelona. On top of exhibitions offered by companies in the industry, there will also be lectures and talks given by international experts, as well as workshops and masterclasses specialised in specific fields.
The director of B'Ars is Felix Balbás, who is also the director of La Salle-URL’s Degree in Animation. Now in its fourth year, at the end of this year this programme will see its first graduates enter a growing sector with many job opportunities. In order to complement our undergraduate studies, La Salle-URL will be launching a Master’s in Animation in October 2019. In a related field, we will also be beginning a new undergraduate Degree in Digital Arts that complements the current degree in Animation while taking a more artistic approach.
