Ramon Llull University (URL) has been ranked among the 150 best universities in the world in the fields of Managementand Business Administration, according to the Global Ranking of Academic Subjectin the Shanghai ranking.
These results place URL as one of the best universities in Spain, sharing first place with the University of Valencia in the field of Business Administration, and Carlos III of Madrid, in Management.
This year’s edition demonstrates how the University has risen the ranks in both fields, from 151-200th position last year, when the first edition of the ranking was published, to 101-150th position this year.
In order to be analysed in this classification, institutions need to have produced a minimum number of scientific publications during the period 2012-2016. In the case of the Management and Business Administrationdisciplines, there are 50. Then, universities are included in the ranking based on five indicators: number of publications by an institution in the period 2012-16, the impact of standardised citations in the field, international collaborations, publications in reviews with the greatest impact and outstanding awards depending on each category.
