The Ramon Llull University (URL) is the second university of the State according to U-Multirank. This classification, which this year marks the fifth edition, is a multidimensional tool developed by the European Commission that evaluates the activity of universities in all its dimensions.
This ranking analyzes more than 1,600 universities in 95 countries, of which 75 are Spanish, through 35 indicators grouped into five dimensions: 1) teaching and learning; 2) research; 3) transfer of knowledge; 4) international orientation and 5) contribution to regional development.
The scores of the institutions are divided into 5 groups according to their performance with respect to the rest of universities: (A) very good, (B) good, (C) in the average, (D) below the average and (E ) weak Of the 35 indicators analyzed by U-Multirank, the URL gets 10 in "very good" performance; 13 in "good" performance; 6 in the "university average"; 5 "below the average", and 1 in "weak" performance.
Taking into account all the indicators analyzed, the second institution of the Spanish university system that appears in the list is the Ramon Llull University, behind the Pompeu Fabra University. These good results have also allowed the URL to position itself as the 73rd European university of a total of 926 of institutions analyzed.
The URL stands out especially in the dimension of international orientation and contributed to the regional development
The URL is consolidated as one of the leading Spanish universities in the international orientation dimension, having obtained 2 indicators in maximum performance ("very good") and 4 in good performance.
Likewise, the URL, although achieving very good results in all areas, also stands out especially in the dimension of contribution to regional development. Of the 6 indicators analyzed, three have a very good result, 2 are in good performance, and 1 in the mean.
Finally, it also manages 3 of the indicators of teaching and learning above the average, and 1 in the average of universities analyzed.
