Cristian has a Spinal Muscular Atrophy and travels in an electric wheelchair. Two years ago, he decided to create a campaign to find a way to move from El Vendrell (where he resides) to Barcelona, where he started the Degree in La Salle - URL, since the trains that were circulating were inaccessible for him. The young man began a collection of signatures through the platform Change.org in which he gathered more than 360.000 signatures to remedy his problem and that of many other people who are in the same situation as him.
The Piña Awards Gala is celebrated as a commemoration for the National Day of People with Neuromuscular Diseases every November 15. The objective of the awards is to promote and encourage the participation of members of the entity, enhance the sense of belonging and social commitment to the mission of ASEM Catalunya.
