This past weekend took place the Young xTech Hackathon.
The Young xTech Hackathon session was divided as follows:
- Friday was the inauguration and presentation of the challenges in the CaixaForum where all the participants were known, which began to form the five teams that adopted each of the challenges challengers presented. On the one hand, Teaming team that faced the challenge of creating an App for Teaming Managers, on the other hand, the team of Càritas who faced the challenge of creating a strategy to communicate all the information of the entity and reach an audience younger. Also the Fundació Comtal team that faced the challenge of creating a space of technology for the young people of the district of the Raval of Barcelona. In addition, the Cupra team faced the challenge of applying drone technology for the control and management of forest areas. Finally the team of the Food Challenge that faced the challenge of creating a system for the use of food in good condition to be thrown.
- Saturday was the founder of the Intercom group, Antonio Gonzalez Barros, who made a Motivational Spitch of almost two hours and the rest of the afternoon participants could spend their time to observe each of the projects.
- Sunday afternoon the groups prepared the presentations of the projects. Later on, they were held before the jury formed by Xavier Casares (president of AMCES) Albert C.Mikkelsen, and two members of Barcelona Think & Co. who gave them powerful feedback.
It has been a weekend where students from different disciplines were able to acquire new knowledge and left everyone with a great taste. Many of them have decided to remain on their own after this experience.
