AT&T buys T-Mobile

Big movement in the US telecommunications market, AT&T buys T-Mobile USA Inc. for $39 billion.
AT&T will pay $25 billion in cash and they will pay another part in stock options; so T-Mobile will hold an 8% of AT&T.
If this agreement is approved by regulators, the new company would have 130 million subscribers, leaving Verizon Wireless with 94 million customers in the second place and Sprint Nextel Corp. in the third place.
