Samsung is going to start transparent LCDs mass production pretty soon

Samsung will be the first company to bring transparent LCDs to the consumption market.

The features of these screens will be 22”, 500:1 image contrast and 1680x1050 resolution. There will be available in black and white, and color.

Moreover Samsung screens’ will have HDMI and USB connection.

The most distinguished characteristic of this new system is the user can see what happen behind the screen and also this system reduce around 90% energy consumption thanks that they use ambient light and not only retroillumination.
