San Francisco has a plan to facilitate parking in the city

SF Park has installed 20,000 sensors around the city. To cover all the parking spots with those sensors, the city invested around $20 million.
The sensors detect automatically if the spot is available, and the information is accessible with an iPhone through a free app.
This strategy wants to help to reduce the traffic inside the city, because is calculated that 30% of the cars inside the city just want to find a spot to park.
