Last November 30th, the second edition of iFest 2017 was held under the slogan 'The young leaders interaction fest', in which students from the last years of the high school, FP, university degrees, masters and doctorates participated.
One of the activities carried out was the 'Challenge Imagine', a disruptive innovation workshop and a competition for teams of entrepreneurial projects, led by multi-entrepreneur Xavier Verdaguer.
La Salle Technova Barcelona participated in this session with La Salle We Love Challenge award for the team that offered the 'Best Global Solution' to the Dream Big Challenge contest, involving more than 6,000 young people. Participants had the opportunity to prove their entrepreneurial capacity and propose solutions to the following challenges: the future of water (Aigües de Barcelona); new business and usage ideas of swimming pools (Fluidra); to the problems caused by infectious diseases (Parc Científic de Barcelona); and, about online health (Uriach).
Among the 12 selected projects, four from each area, La Salle Technova Barcelona team chose the solution proposed by three students of the IES Caparrella from Lleida: Tunnel Fog Life. The project consists in a heat tunnel that condenses the moisture of the fog and filters it to reuse water of the pools in domestic houses, in the cleaning or consumption of people. The idea is to contribute to a more responsible use of the water and natural resources of our planet. Thanks to this award, students will be able to access to a place for the preaccelerator of La Salle Technova innovation park, where during 10 weeks of training they will be able to develop the idea and validate their business model.
