A dozen students of the Degree in Management of Business and Technology mention in Digital Economy of La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL have made a study trip to the main business cities in Europe: Brussels, Paris and Frankfurt, for a week.
The itinerary included visits to the Money Museum, the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bundesbank in Frankfurt. There they learned the difference between the ECB and a Central Bank of a State, where the Bundesbank has been located and how it relates to the ECB and the European Union.
From this point they went to Brussels, to make a tour around the city, to know the historic center, Grand-Place, the Manneken Pis, and even the gastronomy of the Belgian capital. They also made visits to the European Commission and attended a live session of the European Parliament in which they discussed two issues: the revision of budgets of the Investment Bank and the presidential elections in Venezuela. In this session, in addition, participated Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the Commission. To complete his stage in Brussels, visits were also organized to the EU advisory body comprising representatives of workers' and employers' organisations and other interest groups, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), and the Council of the European Union, where the ministers of each EU country meet to discuss, modify and adopt laws and coordinate national policies.
Finally, the study trip ended in Paris, where they were able to visit the international cooperation agency, made up of 35 states, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), learn how it interacts with the EU, and even attend a talk about education: how companies, technology, smart cities, will influence the education of the future.
At the same time, another group of students with the mention of Sports Management, traveled to London.
