Six of the programs offered by La Salle Campus Barcelona —two degrees and three master's— have been accredited with at least 3 stars by the QS Stars Rating, the main university indicator that evaluates quality and competitiveness in higher education centers around the world. The Master's Degree in Project Management has received the highest rating, with 5 stars, the Master's Degree in Big Data and the Master's Degree in Data Science have received 4 stars each and the degrees in Management of Business & Technology, Computer Engineering and International Computer Engineering have received 3 stars.
This recognition proves the teaching quality and competitiveness of La Salle Campus Barcelona and consolidates its prestige at an international level. Among all the indicators evaluated, the QS Stars Rating highlights from the six programs the high level of student satisfaction, the high level of job placement, the number of international students and the excellent ratio between the number of teachers and students. These results reinforce the international character of La Salle-URL, its firm commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship and its effort to maintain the highest teaching quality despite the uncertainty caused by the pandemic.
The Master's Degree in Project Management, more than 20 years of a pioneering program
Among the six programs highlighted by the QS Stars Rating, the Master's Degree in Project Management (MUDP) is the longest running and one of the most important and best considered in the sector in Spain. In fact, last November 2019 the MUDP celebrated 20 years, and the general director of La Salle-URL, Josep M. Santos, highlighted the quality of the program: “20 years ago this was an adventure, very few people had brought this knowledge to the university in a structured way. We are proud to see that, today, our master's degree and those who have been trained in it are recognized in the business world as a reference”.
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), which also produces the prestigious QS World University Rankings, gave the MUDP excellent ratings for student satisfaction (39/40), job placement of graduates (27/30), international student presence (20/20) and the accreditations received by the program. Thanks to these excellent partial scores, the QS Stars Rating has certified the Master in Project Management with 5 stars, the highest recognition to which university programs aspire in this evaluation system.
Three degrees accredited from La Salle-URL
The three degrees at La Salle Campus Barcelona evaluated by the QS Stars Rating, the Degree in Management of Business & Technology, the Degree in Computer Engineering and the Degree in International Computer Engineering, obtained 3 stars each. In all cases, QS has highlighted the great satisfaction of the students with the quality of the program and the very high rate of employability, which in the three programs obtains 30 points out of 30. Both programs work on innovation from the engineering field and have a transversal component, based on learning by challenge, the pedagogical engine of La Salle Campus Barcelona.
Master in Big Data and Master in Data Science
In addition to scoring 5 stars for the MUDP, the QS Stars Rating also evaluated very favorably two other master's programs at La Salle Campus Barcelona: the Master's in Data Science and the Master's in Big Data. Both, which occupy one of the most fashionable technology sectors, obtained outstanding ratings in four areas: student satisfaction, employability, ratio between teachers and students and international students.
