The Universitat Ramon Llull (URL), of which La Salle Campus Barcelona is the founder, is among the best young universities in the world according to the prestigious QS Top 50 under 50. This classification, which Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has been developing since 2012, has placed the URL in the 81-90th position in the world and in the 25th position in Europe.
The QS Top 50 under 50 ranking is a ranking of the best universities in the world under 50 years old, therefore, of those institutions created after 1968. The proposal presented contains a total of 150 universities, three of which are Catalan: Politècnica de Catalunya, Pompeu Fabra and Ramon Llull.
In order to draw up the ranking of young universities, the QS takes into account the first 150 universities under the age of 50 that were ranked in the general ranking of the QS (World University Rankings). In this year's edition of this latest ranking, which evaluates universities on the basis of the quality of teaching, research, employability and internationalisation, the URL was ranked for the first time in the 541-550 range.
These good results are also added to those achieved a few months ago in the QS World University Rankings by Subjects 2018, where the URL was selected for the second consecutive year as the 125th best university in the world to study Social Sciences and Management, and the 27th in the subcategory of studies in Management and Administration.
