All the world to use Android

These days Barcelona is hosting the Mobile World Congress. One of the most expected conferences was Andy Rubin's, VP of engineering at Google. Rubin talked about the present and future of Android. His strongest statement was "We want all the world to use Android".
Rubin defended the open source software in front of other mobile OS, saying that "open source systems are conceived to be distinct". After that, he talked about Windows Phone 7, where he stated that is "a software for computers and adapted to smartphones".
Replying Nokia's president, Stephen Elop, Rubin said that Google does not exercise any power over the sector since their system is open source and able to install in any smartphone, which for him this past year was a total success, when the other brands have quintupled their use of Android.
