Barcelona WiFi

The WiFi network of Barcelona will be expanded to 411 points of public WiFi connection, there are  342 points nowadays.

This extension will complement all the neighborhoods, and it will improve the bitrate from 200 Kbps to 256 Kbps, also the time to use it will be unlimited, eliminating the 8am to 10pm restriction time that is actually on.

Some interesting statistics about this service are that it is used in an 80% by Barcelona citizens that connect around 4 times a week. This connections come in a 60% from laptops and more than 18% from smartphones
