Gartner: November report

In their latest report, analyzing the Q3 of 2010, Gartner points out interesting things. The most interesting of them is the forecast in the Tablet market. Gartner estimates that the total sales of tablets by the end of 2011 will be of 55 millions. They are not specific about the amount of each tablet, but remarks that iPad will be the most sold of all.

This market was "opened" by Apple with the iPad, where everybody was sceptic about its usability and success. Even though, all the companies decided to work in a Tablet because they did not wanted Apple to be alone in that market. The Gartner report shows that Apple was not wrong at all. We will see if the forecast becomes real and how the market moves around it.

On the contrary, the PC sells will decrease, partly motivated for the high impulse that the Tablet market will have, as mentioned before.
