HD voice

Last years we’ve been talking about High Definition Images, but what happen with voice?
Recently we’ve seen a lot of improvement in mobile phones: applications to do whatever we want, cameras with higher resolution, etc. But the main function of a mobile phone is still being make calls, and last years the voice didn't get improvements.
A new system called HD Voice is capable to duplicate the audio bandwidth, using the WB-AMR (Adaptive Multi Rate Wideband) codec. This codec increase the audio bandwidth from 50 to 7,000 Hz, nowadays we have range form 300 to 3,400 Hz.
Communications with an expanded bandwidth allow to have communications with a more clear voice.
The question is: with the voice quality that we have today is not enough?
