Nine international startups in the logistics sector with B2B and B2C projects have participated in the eDelivery Accelerator 2018 program. This acceleration program was developed by La Salle Technova Barcelona, and promoted by the Consorci de Zona Franca of Barcelona.

"It is an effective way to keep abreast of trends and disruption caused by the entry of new technologies. Nowadays technological innovations are advancing at a fast pace and are an opportunity for growth that nobody wants to let slip, they are already present. These sessions are a Win-Win, both startups and assistant companies win, "says Anna Buil Hernàndez, Director of Communication, Development and Control of Vienna.

Last year, the program lasted 22 weeks at the La Salle Technova facilities. The closing ceremony was on January 15th, 2019, with the presence of the Special State Delegate in the Zona Franca Consortium (CZFB), Pere Navarro, the Executive President of La Salle Technova Barcelona, Josep Miquel Piqué, and the General Director of CZFB AIL and eDelivery, Blanca Sorigué.

"I am sure that interesting potential collaborations have arisen both at the provider and client level with companies of the program. We have also created an interesting network of contacts of incalculable future value. And I believe of those who have participated will be writing the logistics near future of the next 10 years ", comments Angel Sanchez Garcia, CEO & Co-Founder Revoolt.

Throughout the program the participating startups had contact with other companies in the logistics sector and also Investment Rediness sessions to prepare to finance their growth. Andrés Garrido, Co-Founder & CEO ChainGo, complements, "Both the sales and financing sessions have been very enriching. As well as some of the sessions with the corporates because this was our main interest in being part of the program".

The nine international startups (two from London and one from Estonia) and the rest from Spain were selected within the Startup Connection Hub, which was held within the framework of the eDelivery Expo Expo & Congress in June 2018: Freightalia, Gantabi, Revoolt Smart Solutions, SmartMonkey.io, Tridenia, Outvio, Unmanned Life, Manzaning and Chaingo Tech.

Eva Tomás from startup Manzaning affirms that "one of our main challenges for 2019 is to improve logistics, optimize it and be more sustainable. Participating in this acceleration program has helped us to define and develop these objectives, as well as establish synergies with other startups that are already working the logistics under these premises. In a startup one must always be open to change, training and new ideas. The acceleration programs such as eDelivery allow us to stop for a moment the daily hustle and bustle to listen, learn and reflect on".
