Gretel and TEEM 2020/2021
As we did last year, we reviewed GRETEL's incidence in the 2020 Teem.
The first of the notable news is the proposal of a new style of sessions (proposed by Dr. Marc Alier -Universitat Politècnica de Cataluña- together with Dr. David a Fonseca, member of the Gretel team) called AGORA-Eco-System. This presentation system, with a maximum of 10 per session of a maximum duration of three minutes and with the support of a blackboard, aims to create associations between the different presentations. At the end of each presentation, the proposal of associations of concepts or works is allowed for a time, thus being able to generate an ecosystem from which new works, proposals or research groups arise. The ultimate goal, then, is to invest some time in third-party research, allowing both speakers and attendees to rethink, connect, share and start synergies. For more information, you can consult the presentation article: https://2020.teemconference.eu/agora-ecosystem/.
On the other hand, the research group presented a total of seven articles in this year's TEEM. These are:
- Project Based Learning or the Rethinking of an Engineering Subject: Measuring Motivation (https://youtu.be/M3aeMXhwAFoB)
- Combining BIM systems and Video-Games engines in Educational Ephemeral Urban and Architectural Proposals (https://youtu.be/YpVXar43KDk)
- Learner Privacy, a pending assignment (https://youtu.be/SlNQ7voBUX4)
- Seven principles to foster privacy and security in educational tools: Local Educational Data Analytics (https://youtu.be/-62RIFgmiJI)
- What is happening in the process of engaging Architectural Students and Teachers for Including Virtual and Interactive Systems in the Projects Developments? (https://youtu.be/roPMzGGO8qQ)
- Self & Peer to Peer Assessment: Evaluating Oral Presentations in a Final Year Engineering Subject (https://youtu.be/Lp6F19YBgIE)
- Designing a multi-scale and multi-dimensional assessment for a new national educational context (https://youtu.be/Qu7xAO3Om28)
The rest of the presentations, which were also recorded and re-uploaded, can be consulted at https://2020.teemconference.eu/Papers-in-Video.
Finally, it was announced that the TEEM of 2021 will be held at the UPC, being us co-coordinators and, in addition, those in charge of presiding over the scientific committee of the same.
