Visit to Mediapro Data Centers

A few days ago we visit Mediapro. The company is the leading group of technical services supplier to the audiovisual sector. It also produces and distributes audiovisual content, administers and distributes sporting events, is a film and interactive content producer and supplier of post-production services.

We had a very interesting visit of 2 hours. First we saw the museum, where there was the history of the company. Also it were a lot of opinions and congratulations for the 20th anniversary made by workers or people that worked with Mediapro. I was surprised with the way they had exposed all the opinions, very innovative.

Then we went to the next generation data center. A new data center that they built two years ago with the newest technology, because of that they only had 20% of the capacity, despite this the data center was giving sercices to a lot of aplications and they earn profits with only that low capacity. We also visit the old data center that they have and the room where they allow other companies install their systems.

At the end of the visit we visit the offices of xarxa oberta.

In my opinion the visit was very interesting and very useful to understand how the data center works and how is implemented in the professional world. Also we could see how is the work in a telematic company like xarxa oberta.
