Dell's solutions on services management

Welcome again!!! In today's posts we'll be talking about the different solutions and equipment that Dell have on services management technologies and which one fits best on our needs.

To deal with that, Dell has different approaches depending on our needs:

Dell Managed Services Platform: is a set of products designed control, reduce costs and increase efficiency on our mid-range systems.
One of the most interesting is the Dell Managed iSeries and AS/400. It delivers support to IBM and as/400 machines enabling them the capability to manage licences, backups, services and resources control...

It's a really interesting product, but as we have to deal with Dell hardware we will look onto other solutions, but maybe is useful to you. For more information about this last topic you have this link.

Data Center Virtualization technologies: Among the big world of virtualization, Dell has developed a large array of products that can cover our needs on our DC environment.

-Virtualization support over all kinds of OS: Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, Citrix...

-Foglight for virtualization and storage management: Foglight optimize performance, plan for growth, track changes and allocate costs across virtual, physical and cloud environments. Also provides the holistic insight you need into the health, risk and efficiency of your virtual infrastructure. Reduce operational costs, speed deployments.
Also gives us full visibility into network traffic information and bandwidth issues so problems can be addressed before customers are impacted. And monitors physical storage for optimal performance.

-The DR6300 Disk Backup Appliance and DR2000v Virtual Disk Backup Appliance: All the DR range meet enterprise-level demands for backup storage and SLAs with the densest deduplication appliance available today. The DR200V avoids the logistic and cost obstacles of deploying a physical backup to disk appliance, an economical alternative for protecting data at remote or branch offices.

That has been all for today’s post, as always stay tuned to the new posts to learn more and have a nice week!!!
