La Salle and the University of Southern California develop a common project in Architecture

On Tuesday November 25th the Final Review of the Joint Program Studio we share with the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles was held at the School of Architecture of La Salle Campus Barcelona. The Final Review is the ending of the first semester, during  which 22 students from USC and 22 students form La Salle 4th year have developed  joint projects in our Campus (first  in teams and then individually) for a Catalan Centre of Islamic Studies in Barcelona, based on the requests of the Barcelona City Council The Final Review was attended by the following teachers: Kim Coleman and Jaime Font (program directors from USC and La Salle-URL), Sophia Gruzdys, John Dutton (USC), Pedro Garcia, Roger Páez, Eugeni Bach and Roman Sarrió (La Salle-URL), as well as prominent foreign guests from the world of Architecture: Felix Arranz, (Architect, a prominent critic and editor), Jaume Prat (critical and influential blogger Architect), Jaume Barnada (associate to the Head Architect of Barcelona’s City Council) Isabela Renteria (Architect and Director of Studies of La Salle Campus Barcelona), Jordi Mansilla, Carlos Albisu and Josep Ferrando (renowned Architects and professors of the School). The Jury spent all morning and afternoon assessing the student’s work,  giving rise to an interesting debate in relation to the excellent results of this third consecutive year of the Project developed by two schools. This project exists within the framework of an international education that allows students of La Salle to work with the most prestigious schools and institutions worldwide.
