URL, member of the Standing Committee of the Spanish Committee of University Sports for the second consecutive mandate

The Comité Español del Deporte Universitario (Spanish Committee of University Sport) has elected new members of its Standing Committee, including Ramon Llull University (URL) , along with four other Spanish universities among more than 80 existing currently in Spain. This position is valid for two years and the URL, which has been a member of this Committee during the years 2012-2014, has now extend its responsibility until 2016. The representative of the URL in this Committee will once more be Alex Martín, Chief of the Sports Service of the URL. The Spanish Committee of University Sport, as the body that provides support to the Consejo Superior de Deportes (High Sports Council) on collegiate sports, counts with the Standing Committee that, among other functions, is responsible for monitoring and proposing annual performances of national and international nature with respect to college sports and collaborates with universities on research resources and other measures allowing the extension and improvement of sport activities.
