A team from La Salle Architecture School involved in the Llum BCN project

Albert Cabrer, Albert Chavarria and Sara Tamayo were the members of the team from La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL School of Architecture that participated in the project Llum BCN, from the 6th to the 8th of February. Their intervention at Palau Centelles courtyard was an impluvium or system designed to channel and collect rainwater. Thus, the aim was to represent these drops of rainwater thanks to 2,000 light cells distributed between the joints of the yard's pavement. This 4th edition of Barcelona’s light festival transformed the city and filled it with life, thanks to the light and the aesthetic transformation of monumental buildings, squares, corners and courtyards filled with charm and history such as many ancient palaces in the heart of Ciutat Vella (Gothic Quarter). Llum BCN encourages students to upload images of their project onto the social networks.
