The company PayPro closed an investment round of 310,000 euros

IDODI Venture Capital and Lanta Capital lead the investment. The Spanish Fintech The Paypro, with offices in Barcelona and the City of London, just closed a financing round of 310.000 euros led by Idodi Venture Capital fund run by Marc Vidal, Daniel Lacalle, Carlos Blanco and Carlos Guerrero, among others, and Lanta Capital, whose participants include, among others, Ángel García, Tomás Diago (Softonic), Mauricio Prieto (eDreams) and Didac Lee. In addition, The PayPro is currently in negotiations with other entities for another 100,000 euros. The PayPro is an online tool adapted to the needs of professionals and micro and small businesses that allows payments in over 30 currencies and more than 200 countries, saving up to 90% in the hidden fees charged by banks on the exchange rate. Its founders, Pablo Ruiz, CEO (Lic & MD, ESADE and MSc Management, Imperial College London) and Gabriel Llamas, CFO / COO (Business, IQS and Master in Finance and Controlling Directorate, IEBS), claim to have solved a problem they had experienced. When Pablo started working in a small export company, he quickly realized that his bank was not transparent regarding the exchange rates. When he asked Gabriel, with over 10 years’ experience in the financial sector, he replied that the bank applies hidden fees of up to 3.5% for micro-enterprises. The next step was to look for alternatives to banks, but they realized that the few existing were focused on the individuals or on large companies. Therefore, they did not meet the requirements of professionals and micro-enterprises. The PayPro is called to fill that niche. The PayPro has offices in the City of London and in Barcelona, where it is incubated in La Salle Technova. In the words of its founders, "to be incubated in La Salle Technova gives us access to a valuable network of companies that enrich us. While in London they have also offered us similar solutions, we believe that Barcelona is more attractive for its costs, talent and the fact that being here we can best take advantage of the network we already have. " The PayPro is currently in pre-launch phase, waiting to start offering its services at the beginning of this year. Meanwhile, those interested can register at www.thepaypro.com to follow up on the launch.
