CITINET: perception and analysis of the networked city through photography

In March, it has started CITINET, a pedagogic project launched from the course Systems of Representation in which several schools of architecture carry out a joint reflection about the contemporary city. In this first edition, the School of Architecture La Salle collaborates with the Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad de San Jorge (ETSA-USJ), in Zaragoza, and with the Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FAU) from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Students and teachers of the three schools are jointly carrying out a study of the three cities- Barcelona, Zaragoza and Sao Paulo- using photography as a means of analysis and communication. From the photographs that the students create, the interrelationships among the three cities are explored in order to find out what they have in common –the generic – and what distinguish them–their identity. The pedagogical activities are carried out in the educational environment SDR: NET, developed by the research group ARC to which students and teachers of the participating schools have access to.
