Successful performance of Telematics Engineering students in the Cisco NetRiders competition

Students from La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL were in the first six positions of the Spanish final of the Cisco NetRiders 2014. Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders is a networks contest conducted worldwide, organized by the company Cisco Systems, leader in networking and telecommunications. It is carried out simultaneously all around the world, divided into four main regions: Asia, the U.S. Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean and Europe, region that includes Spain. Participants in this national stage test their ICT and network skills by competing against other students from their country. Of the top 25 ranked in this year's Cisco NetRiders Spain, 17 are students from La Salle-URL, and furthermore 10 of the first 12 are students of Network and Internet Technologies Engineering (Telematics). The next challenge for the winning student, Álvaro Gutiérrez, is to participate in the final of the European region. This test will be qualifying for the great world final to be held in October, International NetRiders CNNA, where he could win a trip to Cisco headquarters in Silicon Valley.
