Dr. Jordi Albó involved in a project in Panama to help autistic children and youth through Lego Robotics

Dr. Jordi Albó, engineering professor and coordinator of the research group in robotics of La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL, recently visited the Ann Sullivan Center of Panama (CASPAN), which started a project to apply the technology known as Lego Robotics in treating autism a few months ago. Thanks to Albo's collaboration, the LEGO Foundation donated two robots to CASPAN in order to introduce them into the learning processes of  the center's children and youth with autism. This technology, which is already applied in the United States and Spain, stimulates everything related to thought construction, creative process and experimentation. Jordi Albó also participated in a process of personnel training for qualified employees from CASPAN. Thus, the center has established an agreement with the Technological University of Panama, which will send engineering students currently enrolled in robotics as a part of their social work.
