La Salle-URL participates in the ninth edition of the program "Professors and science"

La Salle Campus Barcelona participates in the ninth edition of the program promoted by the Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera "Professors i Ciencia", a program of excellence that offers courses for high school science teachers in Catalonia to encourage scientific vocations among their students. Each year, it provides an opportunity for some 500 secondary science teachers in Catalonia to receive specific training. This training will be held in major research centres in Catalonia during October, November and December 2015. Specifically, La Salle Campus Barcelona participates in the course Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality applied to the classroom. The course will show both virtual reality and augmented reality through applications and devices for the use in the education field. Thus, the teachers will see current technologies used for viewing digital content with devices in the classroom. In addition, they will receive practical knowledge to implement methodologies in their classrooms with display systems with augmented reality and virtual glasses. The added value of La Salle Campus Barcelona is that it offers several workshops for schools, providing them with a set of activities, both practical training and guidance to bring students close to engineering, architecture, management and animation .Furthermore, La Salle also offers workshops for high school students and Higher Level Training Cycle on the same educational areas. The course will last 8 hours, spread over two sessions: the first dedicated to Augmented Reality and the second to Virtual Reality.
