La Salle Campus Barcelona and BREINCO group signed an agreement to encourage practical studies of materials for architecture

Angel Sitjà, Director General of BREINCO and Josep M. Santos, Director General of La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL, signed a collaboration agreement to work together in the development of a plan of practical studies on building materials. The alliance between the two entities intends to provide students with the opportunity to get to know urban industry professionals who will allow them to attend lectures, workshops and practical classes with materials provided by their company. Furthermore, La Salle-URL will have a showroom that will exhibit BREINCO materials. BREINCO, which is already working in Asia and Europe, will instruct students on manufacturing processes with precast concrete and invite them to visit their factory while collaborating with final master projects of both architecture and R & D. With this agreement, La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL seeks for Architecture students to leave university with better practical knowledge about their studies and the materials used, an advantage that can open doors in the labour market. The agreement, with a length of five years, intends to unite the world of teaching with the more practical field of Architecture in order to improve students’ knowledge of their future profession.
