The 2nd edition of the acceleration program for logistics startups has launched this Monday
The second edition of the eDelivery Accelerator is already underway. eDelivery Accelerator is the startup acceleration program of the logistic sector promoted by La Salle Technova Barcelona (the innovation park of La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL) and El Consorci de la Zona Franca (CZFB).
This program has the participation of 8 innovative startups from the logistics sector around the world with B2B and B2C projects and lasts for 22 weeks. This alliance facilitates the contact and subsequent relationship of startups with other companies in the sector and also with investors that finance their growth. The participants are 7 international startups that were selected within the Startup Innovation Hub held at the eDelivery Barcelona fair last June: FlexSim, CargoBici, Pay Mark Fast, Vonzu, Internet of Things, StockAgile, Way Director and Mayordomo .
All of them apply technology to traditional processes in the logistics, delivery and last mile sectors. Josep Miquel Piqué, Executive President of La Salle Technova Barcelona, said that “The new Startups are marking the future of logistics thanks to disruptive innovations leveraged on new technologies. These Startups are a source of innovation in the sector, and the eDelivery Accelerator is the epicenter of this change.”
The objectives of the accelerator are to improve the ability to carry out commercial initiatives and start new innovative projects, provide the necessary tools to identify, develop and create market opportunities, and learn methods to facilitate the internationalization of commercial initiatives. The eDelivery Accelerator also aims to improve the preparation for obtaining investment from startups, prepare startups to work together with companies and create relevant networks with potential corporate partners.
Pere Navarro, Special State Delegate of the CZFB, highlighted the involvement of the CZFB with this type of projects, ensuring that “from the Consortium we want to continue working on partnership models with companies and universities that may be technological partners. In this sense, we will continue to favor the process of accelerating startups in both the logistics and real estate fields. That is why we have a very close collaboration with La Salle Technova, to go hand in hand in this transformative process and of great commitment that our institution makes with the digital challenge ”. We seek to “promote those activities that are an improvement in people's lives. We will continue to collaborate and strengthen this type of experience, ”said Navarro.
During the eDelivery Accelerator, Investment Readiness of advice and guidance will be carried out to achieve successful investment rounds, and team sessions to achieve the consolidation of high performance teams, aimed at the entrepreneur. Agile Sales will also take place with advanced marketing and sales techniques that link theoretical and practical concepts providing a global vision oriented to results, and Corporate Workshops to bring startups to consolidated companies in the sector that expose the current needs of the business environment , present challenges and challenges to solve.
