Once again, the students of the Degree in Digital Arts and the Degree in Animation & VFX of La Salle-URL gather to close the course in style with the annual Animation & Arts Fest.
The event that recognizes the potential of students and future digital artists arrives in its sixth edition with many surprises, highlighting the masterclass of Edu Martin, a reference in the world of animation and digital art that has the experience of projects such as Brave, Monsters University or Cars 2.

Edu Martín shares the secrets of success in the animation industry
In the animation and digital art sector, Edu Martin stands out for his professional career, -of more than 25 years- which he demonstrates through his talent and passion for the industry. He has participated in films such as Planet 51, Cars 2, Brave or Wonder Park and has worked on video game and virtual reality projects.
His career has led him to work in companies such as Pixar, Ilion Animation Studios or Epic Games, where he has participated in the creation of virtual worlds and animated characters.
In 2015, he founded along with other partners the video game and 3D content studio Tequila Works, where he served as art director and animation supervisor. During his time at the studio he participated in the creation of games such as Rime, The Sexy Brutale and The Invisible Hours.
When technology was beginning to be implemented in different sectors, he took the opportunity to unite art and cinematic narrative. At the same time, he created his own short film Smoke City, standing out in several international festivals.

As Edu mentioned during the session, luck is found through preparation. It is very important to be in the right place at the right time, but it is essential to do your homework beforehand.

La Salle Campus Barcelona's Arts & Animation Fest is organized every year with the aim of delving into the current concepts and secrets of the animation and digital art industry.
In addition, we take the opportunity to celebrate the end of the course with all the students of the Degree in Animation and VFX, and the Degree in Digital Arts. During the festival, students present the projects carried out during the year in the area worked. Traditional art, digital art, 3D sculpture, animation, 3D characters ...
The day was the perfect opportunity to get to know the animation and special effects environment, as well as to celebrate the talent of our students at the end of the school year.
