Virtualization and Cloud Computing

Today, in this section we will deal with two topics: Virtualization and Cloud Computing. But what really are they?

We can define virtualization as emulation by some program hardware on which we can mount a service, server or network. This will create what is known as a virtual machine. Thus, with a single computer you can create multiple virtual machines and install on each software (either a Windows, Linux, or MacOS) you need to work.In this way, we are able to dispose of different OS in a single machine.

We must be careful to understand the differences the Cloud Computing. We can explain it as a technological concept and a business model that brings as diverse as storage ideas, computer communications, service provision or application development methodologies.

Briefly, we can see cloud computing as a business model and virtualization as a technology. Many times they converge and create the confusion.

There is a very clarifying words, cloud is "pay as you go". If you need more resources you get more resources if you need less you get less resources. This makes a tech business very interesting because we can adjust our resources to our needs. Consequently, we reduce the expenses.
