Case Study Presentation. The CPD design

In our practical case try to design a new generation of CPD for a financial institution. For doing this, we will mention the manufacturers we've been assigned and usually compare their offers to Cisco ones.

To make a correct design we will focus with some very clear objectives:

• High availability
• High performance safety
• Cost optimization
• High rate of connectivity
• Redundant equipment

Thus, during the design of the CPD we'll try to ensure that they comply with these points.
Moreover, we will try to split the requirements in five main areas:

1. The design of the network
2. The network management design
3. The services it will have
4. The quality and optimization of it (QoS)
5. Security

Each of these points is a necessary step in order to go forward and do the next one.  In this way the design will be efficient and ordered.
