Virtualization in a Data Center with VMWARE

We decided to use VMware because it's one of the most important and reliable virtualization software producers in the world, and their software permits the virtualization for consolidation purposes.
Other hypervisors are less mature, unproven in a wide cross-section of production datacenters, and lacking core capabilities needed to deliver the reliability, scalability, and performance that a bank requires.
VMware is a virtualization product that permits the efficient usage of the hardware because permits divide one or more physical machines in an infinity of logical machines, and divide the resources of a group of machines depending on the requirements, and promoting the reduction of hardware usage and of course reduce the electrical consumption.
The main features of this product that make it the best choice for a data center:
- Virtualization Layer: that splits the operative system we use from the hardware, making the system thinks the visualized hardware is the real hardware, and facilitates the assignation of resources according the usage thereof .
- vSpere: It's a Hypervisor that works as an enchanced suite of tools for cloud computing.
- vCenter: or virtual Center is the pool of centralized tools for management purposes of multiple ESX Servers and Virtual machines.
- vMotion: Is a feature that permits the migration of running virtual machines between physical servers without the lost of connectivity or restarts, anyd down time, and that feature permits meintance needs, load balancing and reource allocation.
- vRealize: Allows to deploy and manage virtual machines on multiple hypervisors and cloud platforms from a single management console.
