The MET students present their Technology Entrepreneurship projects

La Salle Campus Barcelona - March 8th 2015
This last two months the students of the Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering at La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull have been preparing their technology entrepreneurship projects, as part of their Business Projects Management course. The course was led by Prof. Francesc Miralles and Research Assistant Ferran Giones, both members of the GREITM research group at the La Salle Innova Institute.
The four groups of students selected a promising technology from the portfolio of new development in the R&D Labs of La Salle Campus Barcelona. In collaboration with La Salle Technova – Technology Valuation Unit, the students were introduced to the different promising technologies: Avatar, Flexo, Avatoys, MegaUltraPhone.
The students engaged in a process of search for an application for each of the technologies. Among different tools used we would highlight the value proposition canvas and the business model canvas. During the different weeks of preparation of their final presentation, the students had the opportunity to engage with the engineers behind the technologies, as well as potential users and customers of their proposed application. In the final presentation session the students also had a chance to see how they could activate funding options to make their project a reality.
We would like to thank the R&D team at La Salle Campus Barcelona, as well as to the valuable collaboration of La Salle Technova staff in the preparation and execution of this experiential learning project.
