The International Journal of Emerging Markets has recently published one of our researchers’ latest work about the effects of innovation on firm performance

The article entitled “Interrelated effects of technological and non-technological innovation on firm performance in EM – A mediation analysis of Peruvian manufacturing firms” written by Javier Fernando Del Carpio Gallegos and Francesc Miralles was published the 28th of June 2021. This article has been accepted in the International Journal of Emerging Markets and published by Emerald Publishing Limited.

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that firm innovative performance in emerging markets must consider the peculiarities of their competitive environment. Research on the effect of innovation on firm performance focuses mainly on high-tech firms in developed countries.

Besides broadening the literature of innovation in Latin American economies, the contribution of this paper, mainly lies in the proposition and validation of a model that empirically examines how technological and non-technological innovation influence Peruvian manufacturing firms' performance.
