Marc Arnal, academic director of the Architecture degrees, presents the book "L'art de viure"

The architects Peter Harnden and Lanfranco Bombelli were two of the artistic personalities that made Cadaqués one of the favorite places of the most important figures in the world of art, literature and architecture from the 60s of the last century. Marc Arnal, academic director of the degrees in Architecture at La Salle-URL, wanted to pay tribute, vindicate and follow in the footsteps of these leaders of the discipline in his book L'art de viure.

The literary work, which is edited by the Comanegra publising house, will be presented next Saturday, July 24, at 6.30 p.m. at the Theater Art i Joia (C/Vigilant, 11, Cadaqués). The book is prefaced by Vicenç Altaió and the epilogue is the work of Huc Malla. Marc Arnal draws on its pages an analysis and an explanation of how both architects began to draw a new Cadaqués, taking advantage of the geographical exceptionality and natural beauty of the municipality. Specifically, Arnal takes a tour of a handful of spaces and houses that the architects designed and built in the town.

The publication of L'art de viure, which can be found in bookstores since July 14, coincides with the centenary of Lanfranco Bombelli and the 50th anniversary of the death of Peter Harnden. In addition to Marc Arnal, the presentation of the book will be attended by Vicenç Altaió, Huc Malla and Pia Seriñana, Mayor of Cadaqués, and with the collaboration of the Galeria Cadaqués.
