The Business Idea Contest 2020 of La Salle Technova will reward the most entrepreneurial ideas
The twelfth edition of the Business Idea Contest wants La Salle-URL students to show their entrepreneurial spirit and present innovative ideas based on new technologies or business models. The contest is open to all students on campus. Proposals can be submitted until next January 20th. A week later, on January 27th, the finalists will be announced; and on February 3rd the final presentations will be made and the winners will be selected.
The initiative is promoted by La Salle Technova and wants to foster entrepreneurship, encourage the creation of innovative projects, promote the evaluation of business ideas and promote the transfer of knowledge between academia and the real world. The projects will be evaluated by members of La Salle Technova, representatives of technological development and engineering of La Salle and members of BES La Salle.
The criteria for evaluation are as follows:
- Correctly structured presentation (15 points)
- Team unity (10 points)
- Identify market needs (30 points)
- The originality and innovation of the idea or solution (20 points)
- Differentiation relative to competitors or respective technologies present in the market (25 points)
The two best projects will be prescripted to enter into La Salle Technova's TStart PreAccelerator Program and will receive free tickets to attend 4YFN, the great entrepreneurship event in Barcelona. In addition, the winner will have individualized support from members of La Salle Technova to develop their business idea.
On the other hand, the participating groups must present —in Spanish, Catalan or English— a presentation (in power point and PDF) that includes the following aspects: equipment, market need, proposed solution, competitive advantages, competitive analysis and size of market. The documents must be sent through the application form provided by the organization before January 20. Students who have questions about the contest can contact Nathalie Wirdemark (nathalie.wirdemark@students.salle.url.edu).
