On the talking Raul Coria a VMWare expert on virtualization has explained us the characteristics of the New Generation Data Centers. On the following I'm going to summarize the main concepts we've learned.

At first, he has compared how have evolved the Datacenters. Before, the companies had one service per PC which was a completely waste of resources and also a point of failure in case of incidence. On Datacenters of yesterday we can basically find these following three elements.

• Server
• Service
• Operative System

On today's Datacenter, the requirements have changed and also the technology which has evolved with many new features and also thanks to virtualization. Now, we have many services on the cloud and we can split the hardware. So, nowadays we can find these following elements on a Datacenter.

• CPU Computation
• Storage
• Networking

Only to make appoint, Raul commented that one of the main problems of a a Datacenters nowadays is the wiring. One concept very important and which has opened a new scenario in the Datacenters is the concept of virtualization. Usually we have an OS, a server and an application but, when we add a virtualization layer, the system is translating the hardware in logic, which allows to run the Virtual Machines. So, virtualization allows to create virtual hardware. Is clear, that virtualization provides us many advantages, one important advantage is that allows us the re-assignation of resources while running the system which is a really important point in case of incidence. This allows us to use all the resources due to the service only takes the parts of hardware that needs. On the future, the systems will evolve virtualizing more layers, not only the part of the OS, also, the networking, the storage, computing, etc. Referred to virtual networking concept, we have transformed from traditional models to the core, distribution, and access to the virtualization of the networks itself. Software defined Datacenter is the big revolution, consists in virtualize all the devices and services of the network, switching, routing, etc.
Continuing with the explanation, Raul explained that will depend on the needs of a business the structure they will follow on the Datacenter. In a bank there must be contingency, that is why it is the only type of CPD in which there are several types of virtualizations. And in a bank, there are few people working in a PC, Mainframe. Nowadays for all the mobile devices is very used Mobile-Cloud. For security, NSX and micro segmentation.
