31 students from La Salle received one of the 100 scholarships granted by Banco Santander

On June 3rd Ramon Llull University (URL) and Banco Santander held the second delivery of the 100 Santander Scholarships awarded to students from URL, of which 31 were for students from La Salle Campus Barcelona- URL. The event was chaired by Josep Maria Garrell, rector of the URL, and Luis Herrero, vice president of Banco Santander and regional director for Catalonia, which expressed the wish for initiatives like this to strengthen the relationship between universities and businesses, occupation for students and opportunities to promote talent and students internationalization. From 2008-2009, 407 students have benefited from these scholarships. The 100 scholarships are divided into three categories: 15 Iberoamerica Scholarships, aimed at students from Ramon Llull University going on exchange to any of the Latin American universities participating in the program, endowed with 3,000 euros. 30 Scholarships for international mobility Santander-URL, in the form of travel bags to promote international mobility outside Europe. They are aimed at undergraduate, Masters or Postgraduate enrolled in the URL and endowed with an amount of 1,000 euros each. 55 Scholarships Santander internship in SMEs, to gain work experience in SMEs in Catalonia, or any other autonomous community in a professional field related to the degree studied. These grants are spread over three different modes: full-time for three months, with a total amount of € 1,800; half day for 6 months with a total amount of € 1,800 and a half day for 3 months with a total amount of € 900. The scholarships received by 31 students from La Salle-URL has been divided into these categories. 25 students have received scholarships Santander Internships in SMEs, 3 students have received scholarships Iberoamerica and 3 more have received International Mobility Grants Santander URL.
